A radiator valve is a mechanical or electronic device installed on a radiator that controls the flow of hot water through the radiator. It allows you to adjust the temperature of individual rooms or zones by regulating the amount of heat emitted from the radiator.
There are two types of radiator valves commonly used: thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) and manual radiator valves.
Thermostatic Radiator Valve (TRV): A TRV contains a sensor that measures the room temperature. When the desired temperature is reached, the valve automatically reduces the flow of hot water, thus maintaining a consistent temperature. The TRV gives you greater control over each room's temperature and helps save energy by preventing overheating.
Manual Radiator Valve: A manual valve has a basic on/off mechanism, allowing you to manually open or close the valve. Although not as sophisticated as TRVs, manual valves provide simple control over the heat output, making them suitable for environments with less variability in temperature needs.
A middle connection H block radiator valve is recommended to be installed on the bottom of the towel rail or side of radiator with a 50mm middle connections.
