What types of radiator valves are available?

When you question yourself to find the answer, then you have the following options to choose from:

  • Angled radiator valves

  • Straight radiator valves

  • H-block radiator valves

The first thing to understand when you’re choosing which radiator valves to buy is whether your requirements can be met by a set of Angled, Straight or H-Block valves.

Angled radiator valves

An angled radiator valve is one kinds of manual valves which is normally connected with the radiator or towel rail. It is normally connected with the pipes come from the wall. There is a twisting hand wheel on the top. It can help us to control the heat output of your radiator by limit the amount of hot water flow.

A radiator or towel rail will need two valves. One will be fit to inlet pipe, to control the amount of hot water to enter the radiator. And the other one will be fit to the return pipe to balance the system by controlling heat output out of the radiator. Sometimes we can call it ‘lockshield valve’ or return valve.

You would be able to make the best use of these if your pipework comes out of the wall or from below the floorboards, as you’ll need an angle to be able to fit your pipes into the radiators inlet connection.

Straight radiator valves

Brass Radiator Valves are the perfect solution for controlling the heat output and temperature regulation of heating radiators. These radiator valves, crafted with precision and durability in mind, are constructed using high-quality brass materials, ensuring exceptional strength and resistance to corrosion.

Straight radiator valves  have no bends or curves and will usually connect from the floor horizontally – so if your pipework is run along the wall and directly into the radiator – or perhaps even straight up and out of the flooring – the best choice to ensure your heating works efficiently would be to purchase a straight radiator valve.

H-block radiator valves

A middle connection H block radiator valve is one kinds of manual radiator valves which is normally connected with the radiator or towel rail with a 50mm middle connection. We can use a key to open or close the valves to  control the heat output of your radiator by limit the amount of hot water flow.

One port will be fit to inlet pipe, to control the amount of hot water to enter the radiator. And the other side will be fit to the return pipe to balance the system by controlling heat output out of the radiator.

Of course, size is also an important symbol for choosing a product,Remember – If you are unsure of which valves you need, Please contact us:web@bestjad.com
