Straight thermostatic radiator valve with lockshield (they are also called TRV in short) are self-regulating valves set in straight type, fitted to hot water heating system radiator, to control the temperature of a room by changing the flow of hot water to the radiator.
It includes a thermostatic head and 2 straight valves. The user turns the thermostatic head to the required temperature value. The inside sensor element of thermostatic head sense the room's temperature and adjust the flow of hot water to the desired ambient temperature.
The sensor element of BEIJINSI thermostats consist of a liquid filled metal capsule with an immersed below and integral push rod. A temperature fluctuation leads to an alteration of volume of the liquid which entails a length modification of the immersed below. Then the valve is closed and opened by the push rod.
When the room temperature exceeds the set temperature, the liquid sensor element in the thermostatic head expands and increases it’s volume. It pushes the valve’s stem to turn down the valve, to reduce the hot water flow of the radiator and make the room temperature reach the set temperature. When the room temperature is lower than the set temperature, the liquid sensor element shrinks and the volume decreases. The returned spring in the valve core pushes back the valve stem to open the valve and increase the hot water flow of the radiator until the room temperature reaches the set value.
With these energy efficient trv valves, the temperature in each room of the home is easily controlled, reducing energy usage and saving money by avoiding overheating commonly caused by manual valves. A compression connection and PTFE seal are recommended for installation.
It is recommended to fit one connection side of TRV to the inlet pipe comes from the floor– the water flow pipe, and another connection side to be mounted with the towel rail or radiator. Can we fit it to the return pipe? If you do this way, you would later find that a noisy, vibrating sound comes out when the water comes through.
Normally, a manual radiator(or return) valve will comes together with a thermostatic radiator valve. With this manual radiator valve, you can mount it to the return pipe to open or shut off the water.
